In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are happy to partner with The Ellie Fund which provides essential support services for breast cancer patients to ease the stresses of everyday life, allowing the focus to be on family, recovery and healing. They provide transportation to medical appointments, light housekeeping, nutritional and grocery assistance, childcare reimbursement, nutritious prepared/delivered meals and integrative therapy services free of charge. They provide assistance to breast cancer patients residing in and/or receiving treatment in Massachusetts.
At Serve Kindness we believe that no one should be discriminated against based on race, and that everyone should be able to live freely and not worry about acts of racism and prejudice in their daily lives. The recent national events left us heart broken and we, like so many of you, are searching for ways to make a difference. One response we are taking today is to add the NAACP as a charity partner.
The NAACP is a civil rights organization founded in 1909 whose mission is to secure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights in order to eliminate race-based discrimination and ensure the health and well-being of all persons. Their strategic plan for the 21st century includes six NAACP Game Changers to address the major areas of inequality facing African Americans including: Economic sustainability, Education, Healthy, Public Safety & Criminal Justice, Voting Rights and Political Representation, and Expanding Youth and Young Adult Engagement. We're partnering with The Second Step to support them in their important work caring for domestic abuse survivors. Their mission to provide a way out of violence through connection, healing and community is critical for survivors as they build a better future for themselves and their children.
