The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members. – Coretta Scott King
We’re excited to announce our newest charity partner, Boston BullPen Project, an organization working tirelessly to serve kindness to the most vulnerable members of our community.
BBP began with four childhood friends, all lifelong Bostonians and avid baseball fans, who realized they were in the unique position to create a lasting impact and serve those in need. Their vision was to identify gaps in social services and partner with agencies and groups most experienced in meeting requests for urgent care.
Working directly with those agencies, they help homeless, veterans, at-risk youth and families in crisis situations. Their good work means critical needs such as money for rent, medical bills, utility payments or transportation can usually be met within 24-48 hours.
In addition, they promote a spirit of “paying it forward” by giving recipients of their services a gift card to share with a friend or family member in need, creating a ripple of kindness in the community.
At Serve Kindness, we understand that for some people a small bump in the road can derail their accomplishments. By virtue of this partnership, we have the pleasure of becoming part of the ripple effect of keeping families safe, improving the quality of life for others and building strong relationships within our community.
